Biography

Born on September 30, 1984, Kevin M. O’Connor was raised in LaGrange Park, IL, the east side of the 41st District, where he continues to reside today.

Kevin O'Connor is pursuing a baccalaureate in Law Enforcement/Justice Administration from Western Illinois University.  He has been politically active in support of the environmental, labor, civil rights, and anti-war movements.  Even during his attendance at Riverside-Brookfield Township High School he was vocal about his opposition to war and his advocacy for equal rights to all.

Kevin is also heavily involved with Green organizations at the national level.  At present, he is a member of the National Campus Greens Resource/Clearinghouse Committee and the Recruiting/Mobilization Committee.  He serves as chairperson of the Illinois Green Party Locals Support Committee, Illinois Green Party committeeperson for Proviso Township, and also as an Illinois delegate to the Green National Committee.  Kevin is an avid environmentalist and a member of the Natural Resources Defense Council.  He is also an active member of the Near West Citizens for Peace & Justice.
